Jennifer Lopez was born in 1970 to David Lopez - A computer operator , and Guadalupe - A School Teacher , in New York. The Lopez's also had two other children: Lynda & Leslie, both older than Jennifer. J Lo began her professional career by appearing in the chorus of dancer , singer and choreographer Hinton Battle's Synchronicity musical in Japan. She had also appeared in Golden Musicals of Broadway on a European tour , along with regional productions of Oklahoma and Jesus Christ Superstar.
Her first performance, at 16 was as "Myra" in 1986's "My Little Girl". Jennifer would get her first big break four years later on "In Living Color" , as a Fly Girl Dancer .

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony recently announced their tour ING PRESENTS JENNIFER LOPEZ & MARC ANTHONY EN CONCIERTO which kicks off September 29 in Atlantic City. The tour will make its way to fourteen major markets and some of the hottest venues in the U.S. and Canada, including New York’s Madison Square Garden, the Los Angeles Staples Center and the Miami American Airlines Arena. $1.00 from every ticket sold on the tour will benefit the ING Run for Something Better, a free school based running program which benefits Latino kids.
